On 10/28/09, President Obama signed into law, which extends non-minister religious worker (I-360) as a special immigrant from September 30, 2009 to September 30, 2012. Person who is not a minister, but who is a religious work can file a special immigrant petition (I-360), and I-485 (adjustment of status) concurrently if the visa number for that category is available. If the visa number is not available, then a person can file I-360 alone, and should get the priority date.
